Coventry Bears Womens' Rugby League
Following the success of the Coventry Bears Rugby League team in winning National League 3 last season the club is looking to expand the number and nature of teams it runs. This means that this season there is to be a Womens' Rugby League team set up with the aim of playing a number of friendlies this season before potentially entering a league the following year. The Womens' set up will work closely with the mens' teams sharing resources, coaching staff and matchday experiences.
The Bears Womens' team are looking to recruit players for the team and would be grateful if you could pass onto any interested players in your club the enclosed information flyers detailing contact information and up-coming events. The Bears have no intention of ‘poaching’ players as the Womens' Rugby League season covers the Union off-season through the summer months. All Coventry Bears want to offer is the chance for as many players as possible to try and experience rugby league, stay fit and pick up new skills or simply to meet new friends with whom to play and watch rugby. The dates for up-coming events are:
Saturday 2nd April
‘Come and Find Out About Coventry Bears Womens' Rugby League’
This will take place at The Butts Stadium, Coventry RFC from 1pm onwards prior to the opening home game of the Bears National League Three season against Warrington Wizards.
Thursday 7th April
First Training Session, provisionally scheduled for Old Wheatleyans RFC at 6.30pm.
