Plymouth 16th February 2008
David Addleton's first game in charge following the departure of Head Coach Brett Davey earlier in the week.
Cov ran out winners by 29-10 (four tries to one) following a superb display of defensive tenacity, resulting in a rare 'double' over the visitors from the Devon/Cornwall county line..
Honorary Cov-Kid Kurt Johnson powered in from the right wing, having dealt with a less-than-perfect pass, to take a step closer to his first 100 league touchdowns for the club. With Logon Kirisome, Donovan Sanders and Jack Cobden adding the rest, it was good to see the threequarters earning their crust for once (with tongue-firmly in cheek of course....).
Ronnie McLean and Miles Dorrian shared the kicking duties with three conversions and a penalty goal making up the home total.
A heartening display, following a testing week at the BPA, and one to savour for Aggie, although I can't quite figure where his usual masterplan of 'proper Cov 10-man rugby went...). Nice one Dave.
